Motivation

There are days we wake up and don’t feel like doing a single thing. I know because I have these days more often than I would like to admit. It seems hard to find motivation after sitting comfortably on the couch for hours on end. Sometimes I’ll tell myself, “Nathan, get some homework done. Nathan, go workout. Nathan, do the dishes. Nathan do this and do that.” The thing that motivates me the most is judgement. Not only judgement from other people, but also myself. I don’t want to wake up the next day and be mad at myself for not getting anything done. I don’t want people to judge me for not doing anything that day when I know I could have been doing something. Yes, sometimes the things that need to get done suck. Sometimes you just hope if you keep watching Netflix or looking at Facebook that the problem will just go away, but it just postpones it so you feel pressured to do it later. Motivation is different for everyone. Some people don’t care if they don’t do anything all day, and that’s okay because it’s their life not mine. Find what motivates you and use that to your advantage.
